Fast fashion takes on this adjective in every part of its nature. The introduction of new trends is fast, speed of production is fast, consumer decision to buy is fast, delivery is fast, the clothing’s life span is fast and the speed the garments are thrown away at is fast. All of this impacts on polluting the planet, exploiting workers, harming animals and encouraging a throw away culture. This petrol heavy shoot takes on the literal connotations of the word ‘fast’ in order to make consumers more mindful of this concept.
